Reporting Relationship: Youth and Family Program Coordinator
Hours: 25 hours for one week session; 12pm-5pm daily
Position Summary: MVCC Summer Camp is an opportunity for children grades 1-5 to connect and learn in a fun environment. This camp will provide needed social and educational experiences for children with different themed activities daily.
General Duties and Responsibilities
- Understand and support the vision, mission, and culture of MVCC
- Maintain courteous and professional communication to participants
- Complete summer camp volunteer training one week before camp
- Follow all safety procedures and policies
- Respond to MVCC Team Supervisor’s phone calls, emails, or texts within 24 hours
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Run and supervise a group of 5-10 “campers” at a designated activity station
- Assist in group activities
- Set up and clean up between group rotations
- Encourage a positive fun camp expérience
Experience, Skills, and Abilities Required
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Must pass WA State background check
- Attend MVCC volunteer training
