Reporting Relationship: Amanda Goetz, Youth and Family Program Coordinator
Hours: 20 hours for one week session; 8:30am-12:30pm daily
Position Summary: MVCC Summer Camp is an opportunity for children going into grades K-5 to connect and learn in a fun environment. Activity coordinators will play an important role in providing campers with social and educational experiences through daily activities involving art, STEM, fitness, outdoor exploration, and citizenship.
General Duties and Responsibilities
- Understand and support the vision, mission, and culture of MVCC
- Maintain courteous and professional communication to participants
- Complete mandatory summer camp volunteer training
- Follow all safety procedures and policies
- Respond to MVCC Team Supervisor’s phone calls, emails, or texts within 24 hours
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Run a designated activity station
- Assist 5-10 campers in group activities
- Set up and clean up between group rotations
- Encourage a positive fun camp experience
Experience, Skills, and Abilities Required
- Must be at least 14 years of age
- Must pass national background check if over age 18
- Attend mandatory MVCC volunteer training
