Reporting Relationship: Youth and Family Program Coordinator, Amanda Goetz
Hours: Up to 3 hours for a single day shift (time of shift will depend on location); August 17th from 9am-1pm
Position Summary: MVCC Back to School Backpack Giveaway is an opportunity for volunteers to get out in the community to distribute free backpacks to students in the FME area. Volunteers will work at one of three locations, which you will be assigned to after registering for this opportunity.
General Duties and Responsibilities
- Understand and support the vision, mission, and culture of MVCC
- Maintain courteous and professional communication to participants
- Follow all safety procedures and policies
- Respond to MVCC Team Supervisor’s phone calls, emails, or texts within 24 hours
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist site supervisor with setting up tables, pop-up tents, and backpacks
- Greet families as they arrive
- Help students pick a backpack from a variety of sizes and colors
Experience, Skills, and Abilities Required
- Ability to lift 20lbs.
